Who writes the guides on this site?

Every guide, comparison and how-to on this site is written by one person: Tugay Pala, at Useroam Teknoloji in Türkiye. There is no content team and no outside agency, which is why the pages carry a named byline rather than a company one — if something on this site is wrong, there is one person to tell.

What he actually runs

The guides are written from the same desk the software is built on: a Mac in front of a mixed Windows and Linux fleet. Day to day that means administering Linux servers from macOS, keeping Windows servers reachable over RDP, and moving files between Macs and Linux hosts over SFTP. The serial-console and legacy-SSH material comes from the part of the job that does not fit in a terminal window — switches, routers and firewalls reached over a console cable when the network address is gone.

That is also the honest limit of it. This is the experience of someone who operates a small mixed fleet, not of a carrier network engineer or a large-enterprise platform team. Where a page reaches past that, it says so — every commercial page on this site carries a section on where Noden is the wrong answer.

Why Noden exists

Noden started from the ordinary irritation of doing this work with four apps open: a terminal, a file transfer window, a remote desktop client and a separate serial terminal. The product's one defining idea — an SSH terminal, a dual-pane SFTP manager and a Windows remote desktop in the same window, side by side — is the fix for that, and the guides are written from the same angle: what actually goes wrong, and what to do about it.

What does "Reviewed" mean on these pages?

Pages on this site carry a review date alongside the byline. A review means the page was read end to end against the shipping build of Noden, and that any claim about a competitor was checked against that competitor's own site or App Store listing on that date. It does not mean the page was rewritten. Where a competitor's pricing or feature set is quoted, the page says when it was read, because those change without notice.

If you find a claim on this site that is out of date or wrong — about Noden or about any other tool named here — write to noden@useroamteknoloji.com and it gets corrected.

The conflict of interest, stated plainly

The person writing the comparisons also makes one of the products being compared. That is a conflict and it is worth knowing about when you read a page here. What the site does instead of pretending otherwise: name the tool that genuinely wins each category even when it is not Noden, link every competitor to its own site so the claims can be checked, and end each comparison with where Noden is the wrong choice.
